Auglaize County, Ohio is the birthplace to Astronaut Neil Armstong. The Neil Armstrong Air And Space Museum is located off of I-75 at the Wapakoneta exit.

The county is heavily influenced by German architecture due to the large number of German immigrants that settled here during the building of the Erie-Miami canal.

The most noticeable part of the county is agriculture. Miles and miles of corn and soybean fields are throughout the county. Rising above these abundant fields were small towns and numerous churches. American flags are all over the small towns. The combination of the churches, flags, small towns, and the shores of Grand Lake St Marys remind you that this is the heartland.

Auglaize County gives you a feeling of Americas past, present, and future. Click on the pictures to view the larger versions of the pictures. I hope you enjoy this quick glimpse of the area.
